This delicious, golden yellow, buttery oil is made from slowly boiling down unused butter at the end of every baking week. The slow boiling removes the milk fats leaving behind a pure butter oil that not only healthy for you, but is more versatile in the kitchen than regular butter. The high smoking point of ghee means you can sautee and roast with it, and the removal of the milk fats means that ghee is a shelf-stable food item. Unopened, ghee will stay fresh in a dark, cool cabinet for up to 9 months. Opened, it is fresh in a dark, cool cabinet for up to 6 months. What to extend the life to a whole year? Just refrigerate it!
