If you said “yes” to these questions then Night Owl Farm and Behind the Breadbox are excited to offer you a new Bread Share add-on for the second half of the 2023 CSA season!
The Bread Share add-on will provide you with a fresh loaf of bread in your CSA basket every week for 8 weeks, beginning on the August 16 pick-up. Behind the Breadbox bread is made with freshly-milled wheat and rye, freshly-churned butter and buttermilk, and uses local ingredients like honey from New Brighton, Maple Syrup from Killkenny, and garlic from Night Owl Farm. Your Bread Share bread will be baked fresh the day before pick-up and will come unsliced so you can decide exactly how thick you want it to be.
Half Loaf Shares – $50
Half loaves are the equivalent of 8 standard slices and are the perfect size for 1 or 2 person households or those who don’t eat a lot of bread but still like a little here and there.
Whole Loaf shares – $80
Whole loaves are the equivalent of 16 standard slices and are the perfect size for larger households or those who just really like their bread.
The breads you receive during the 8-week share period will rotate between the bakery’s whole wheat, rye, white, and sweet cinnamon breads. The current bread menu & schedule is shown below. There is always a chance that the menu could change, in the unlikely case that it does, this page will be updated and you will be notified.
Orders for the Bread Share Add-on must be placed by noon (12:00 pm) on Monday, August 14. The number of shares available are limited, so place your order today to guarantee your spot!
